Hilary O’Neill was born and raised in Ireland, where her deep connection to music, storytelling, and the arts began. She studied singing and fine arts in London and worked as a scenic artist at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, where she drew inspiration from the artistry around her.

 

She moved to Germany where she expanded her music experience with ongoing studies at the Conservatorium in Berlin. She has performed extensively throughout Germany across multiple genres, extending her passions to include jazz, cabaret, German lieder and other classical repertoire. As a skilled Celtic harpist, she adds an authentic, magical touch to her much acclaimed concerts of Irish song, stories and original verse. Known for blending humour with affinity, her performance style captivates audiences, weaving together the lyrical beauty of harp, song, poetry, and narrative. As a writer of prose, Hilary has created numerous one woman shows, touring extensively throughout Europe for many years, enchanting audiences with her multifaceted artistry in both English and German.

In addition to her musical talents, Hilary is an accomplished visual artist specialising in portraiture. She works with a range of mediums, bringing the same attention to detail and expressive style to her visual art as she does to her performances.
